Jap food was yummy....bar food was bar food ....Kbbq was awesome! Thanks Tim!!!

Overall I had an awesome time back in North America last week. The trade show was another story. We ran into so many problems with customs/FedEx./DHL. In the end the show had a good turn out and I memoried the FedEx and DHL hotline numbers. As for the hotel that I have to karate kick the bathroom door to open...IT SUCKS!!! dont ever book the MILFORD PLAZA hotel on 45th and 8th Ave. Horrible!!! You have to pay for internet access that doesn't work and they give you bedsheets that have holes in them.....hmm yea. The show kept me busy most of the time. Didn't really get to see the city or shop. It was nice to be able to converse in English again tho...haha

short recap for myself: Contennial flight was awesome - new plane and wide selection for movies and tv shows, products was hold up at customs for two days, nothing to set up at the show, went into an kitchen supplies store to buy a table with two stools, DHL/FedEx is stupid - they transfer you 10times before they give you an answer on anything, Convention Center food was over priced just like the coffee and muffins at the hotel, $300 self made banners -Induction lamps are blinding and the next big thing if they ever get the price down...never seen so many male flight attendent until my flight back to HK -4 in total on my flight. "Are we really going back to HK? where's all the asians"

Shit I almost forgot...I got "SSSS" at the Newark airport! This means extra screening. I forgot to take out my laptop and they were screaming at me cuz I try to touch my bags. Then I had to go thru this door that's just in the middle of nowhere. They checked my bags and me. Everyone had to take off their shoes so that's nothing special but yea....I got lucky.....I was that 1 in 100 to get the extra screening.....cuz clearly I look like I have something to hide right?.....

Pics to come

Back in HK once again....Back to TO if things works out in June

Friday, March 30, 2007

Happy Birthday Kjeh!!!

(the machines works perfectly fine...)

a: "OH I forgot to press start button!" (goes back to her desk to check the file)

a: "how come its on here(meaning the shortcut folder on the desktop)?"

b: "that's odd. its not there. lets check in the D drive.....see its there"

a: "they moved homes and didn't even know it. Still going back to the old home. It's like no one told them" (they as in the scanned files)

I had a good laugh about this one....much more funnier in chinese and in that dumb founded voice. They are all nice person but just from a different generation and not used to technology. Heck! I'm not even that tech savvy so its totally understandable. It's just cute some of the things that they say.

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

It's not even that nice anymore. It's getting a little chilly these past couple of days. 10C is consider cold....haha.....everyone must be laughing at me but no really without HEAT. That's sad.

I MISS BOARDING!

even though I only picked it up 2 seasons ago. just like any other day. Maybe you can't even get into the parking lot
of Pacific Mall and there's a long line up of cars to go the temple on
Bayview. Here in HK some schools gets 10days off for Chinese New Year.
I can barely walk on the streets (as if I can walk on any other
day...haha) The energy is amazing and there will be a FEAST today with
all my relatives. When I say feast, I mean FEAST! My uncle and
aunt have been preparing for tonight for the last week. We are gonna
have crabs, abalone, sea cucummber, shark fin....the whole works! I
honestly didn't know that it takes that long to prepare everything.
Went to get Plum blossom
the other day similar to buying a christmas tree for christmas, they
literally cut it in front of you when you pick the
tree that you want. I completely forgot how much fun Chinese New Year
was with all the traditions and food...haha and of course the red
pockets :D Tonight we are gonna go to the temple at midnight similar to
midnight mass. I haven't had this fun in a long time. I'm decided to
stay for Chinese New Year.

I feel so loved! my uncles and aunts takes me out for food and buys me
stuff just cuz they like to spoil me because they haven't seen me in
ages...haha It's nice being one of the two girls out of 10 cousins.

On another note...does anyone want to know how to kill a chicken?
First, you pick the one that you want then you ask the person to kill it for you.
They cut the chicken around its neck then they throw it into a bucket
to let it struggle to death. Then they put the chicken out and by now
all the blood has drain from the chicken to all over its feathers. Not
a pretty sight but it was interesting...Then they run the chicken under
hot/warm water so they can pull all the feathers out. Lastly they cut
all of the guts and there you have your whole chicken! Lovely isn't it!
I was disgusted the first them I saw it and swore I wouldn't eat a
chicken for a while. That lasted for last than 4 hours....i'm a horrible person but what can you do?

Life is good. I found links to watch Heroes and Greys :D I'm almost up to date with all the eps
Wednesday, February 14, 2007

For the picture hungry xanga bloggers...will upload more later
schooland high school. Friendster was too asian and I never got into
myspace for some reason although there are tons of functions. I think
it's cool how I can see how everyone is doing after all these years. So
we don't talk on a regular basic but it's nice to know that they are
all doing well. The ones who cares about you would usually message or
write on your wall or vice versa. So maybe we won't get together and
chill ever in real life. It's still nice to know that you aren't
forgotten over the years.

One of my goals in life is to have
some kind of impact in anyone's life that I cross paths with. I don't
want to be forgettable. I think that'swhy I "know" so many people per
say.

how did I meet all of you? do YOU remember?

============
random facts of life
It's
been proven AGAIN. mosquitos are in love with me! I just came back from
a short trip in China. Agile Garden (its this gated
community/resort....nice place) in SaXiang Town, Zhongshan. I have many
love marks to show for it and a full tummy. All I did was eat, watch TV
and got eaten alive by mosquitos most of the time. Sorry no pics to
show for it. I went to the town's street market. Totally dirty but
interesting. I would look too much like a tourist if I took out my
camera. That or I would be mug on the spot...haha. I tried crocodile
meat and wild baby pig! I saw snakes and other goodies. .....Anyway.How
totally sexy is it to have lumps on your forehead, head, lips, under
your chin and arms. I look like I got beaten up by someone. On my lips
for god sakes. >.< damn you mosquitos!!

China is a lot cleaner than I remember which is a good thing! That's all for now

Totally
missing all my fav TV shows :( GREYS ANATOMY, Heroes, Desperate
Housewives, Jericho, Six Degress, Ugly Betty, Amazing Race,
American/Canadian Idol, Gilmore Girls.....Yes I know...I'm a TV junkie!
I'm all caught up on my Fob Soaps tho! haha
